Richard is currently a Workshop supervisor and Senior armature maker at Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd, an internationally acclaimed company famous for creating award winning animation puppets for film, television and commercials.

Resume includes Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie, Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox, Coraline and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.

During the 23 years he has worked in the industry, he has learnt a broad spectrum of design and construction techniques and has specialised in engineering body armatures and head mechanics for stop motion puppets.

In recent years he has been heavily involved with projects which have combined traditional making techniques with new 3-d printing technologies.
